I can't define myself in a few paragraphs, so I won't try. I will, however, tell you a few facts to get you started.

I'm a software development generalist: I like building software, and I've filled most roles in a software team at one time or another, and I like different aspects for different reasons. This is what I get paid to do, but it's also something that I enjoy, although I don't always enjoy the bits that I get paid for.

I'm also a technology journalist, blogger, editor for InfoQ. I get paid a little for that as well, although not nearly as much. That said, I like to learn and share, so it's its own reward.

I like to read, do photography, write, play games (video, board and otherwise), talk, cycle, motorcycle. I love being a father.
